The Old Medicine House Blackden is a 16th century timber framed building that was rescued, repaired and rebuilt on a prehistoric site. The Blackden Trust has been set up to promote and facilitate education, history and culture. The Trust is based around the life, work and experience of Alan Garner.

Bramall Hall, Stockport is a superb example of a Tudor mansion house with origins dating back to the Middle Ages. It is one of the most beautiful treasures of England and is of national importance.
